About

My name is Adam Lefever and I’m a full-time Online Marketer living in St. Louis, MO.  I have been tinkering on the Web for half of my existence and have worked on commercial Websites for close to 10 years. My focus and experience has been primarily in SEO and online marketing since 2005.

I started designing Websites back when nested tables were the thing to do, and the Web has sure changed since then.   I stumbled into Online Marketing when a client once asked me, “How do I get my Website in with these other Websites in Yahoo and Google?”.  Thus, my quest began to discover all the ways you can reach people online.

Since then, my career has had growth spurts and stagnation, but business and opportunity always rears its face.  Every sane business owner I’ve met lights up at the mention of SEO and online marketing, notably with skills to direct online business strategy, construct meaningful sites, and effectively promote and profit.

Philosophy

I’ve met some of the most incredible, intelligent and dynamic people in this field.  Most of us experienced in online marketing I’ve met come from a computer science background, a Web Design background, or a Marketing background.  Online marketers come from all walks of life with varying degrees of strengths and weaknesses in skills on the Web.  There are a wide variety of social, organizational, and communication skills.

Those with a computer science background often look at the Web from a very logical programming and development standpoint.  They see the opportunities in the creative ways they can build technology. They tend to think in a linear fashion (A leads to B), developing the applications and strategies to promote businesses through new tools, programs, and technology that makes the Web experience easier and more fulfilling.

Web designers are the ultimate creative types, the right-brainers tempered with a left-brained streak for Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, etc.  These guys are comfortable with colors and the visual elements, the layout, and the aesthetic presentation of things.   Many designers will fall into online marketing after since in many ways it’s a “gateway” for any designer who has broadened their skills to do Optimization or marketing for business.

Those with a marketing background tend to fall somewhere in the middle of this.  Most of us have had some level of experience on the Internet before we grew interested in marketing online, and as far as I’ve met, all of us share some love of traditional media and advertising, but also have a streak that draws them towards the cutting edge, new media and technology. There are so many new ways we can communicate that a decade ago we could have hardly imagined – the Web has become a dynamic social playground of participation; a communication platform for all with anything to say.

Experience
My experience has taken me from Search Engine Optimization, to Pay-Per-Click advertising, Social Networking, Blogging, and video promotions.   I currently operate and post to over 12 blogs including this one, manage 2 e-commerce stores, and develop Websites for businesses who are serious about their Web presence.

My SEO work has touched 200+ Websites and growing.  I developed an SEO link building service for a large company, which I managed for a couple years.  My clients and employers have ranged from small one-man operations to large, corporate scale projects.  I’ve worked with companies in Technology/Internet, Entertainment, Fashion, Health/Medicine, Home Improvement, Realty, and Flooring industries. I’ve attended industry conferences, although I generally find them not as useful as I used to.

I’ve also ran a number of Websites purely for my own amusement, having built and experimented with networks of Websites for affiliate programs, optimizing them and also regularly test used as “guinea pigs” for testing my new strategies and techniques.

What I Can Do

I enjoy working with small to medium sized businesses to help them grow their Internet presence.  There is a wide open market online and I believe the biggest growth in the Internet has only begun to happen.  Every local, small, and medium business has a tool they can use, relatively cheaply, to effectively reach out to their customers.  From a marketing standpoint, having a Website is an obligation to adequately serve your customers.  If people buy from you, it’s likely they’re using the Internet, and it’s possible they would have some interest in finding you there.

For SEO and marketing, I can consult or work in any Web platform available, but lately I focus building and marketing with WordPress.  If a site is outdated by 5+ years and they have under 40 pages, I can usually recommend WordPress for an easy to use solution.

I provide these services:

  1. Search Engine Optimization
  2. Link Building
  3. Blog development and posting
  4. Optimized Article/Content writing
  5. Outsource Design and Development projects for you
  6. Pay-per-click campaign optimization and management
  7. WordPress Site Development
  8. Ask.  It’s likely I can help you, or I know someone who can.
